Review the silhouette first

Look at the overall proportions before the smallest details. Try the sample on and review the length, volume and shape from different angles. Refer back to the fit you described in the brief, and record the changes you want in clear terms.

Look at the artwork in context

A print or embellishment can read differently on a finished garment than on a flat mockup. Check its size, position and relationship to seams, pockets and folds. Review the colours and surface finish in person where possible.

Check the finishing details

Work through the closures, pockets, labels and trims. Note anything that feels inconsistent with the intended design. Keep a single feedback list and use labelled photos to show the exact area being discussed.

Keep an approved reference

Separate changes that are required from ideas for a future version. Once the details are agreed, keep the approved sample and specification together as the reference for the next stage.
