DEFINE THE BRIEF
Give every pocket a purpose.
Draw the pocket opening, usable bag and any flap or fastening as separate details. A large outside panel does not define what can fit inside it. State where each pocket sits relative to a measuring point, and include left and right views when they differ.
Define the waist, rise, hip, thigh, knee and hem measurements along with inseam and outseam. Include a reference for the intended wide-leg, relaxed or tapered shape. State whether the waistband is fixed, elasticated or adjustable so the sample can be assessed consistently.
YOUR GARMENT SPECIFICATION
Pockets & fastenings.
List patch or bellows pockets, closures, drawcords, belt loops and hardware by location. Mark the usable opening and any reinforcement you want discussed.
Placement across panels.
Show artwork and labels against the actual pocket and seam positions. Review whether a print should continue across a panel join or stop before the seam.
SAMPLE REVIEW
Check the details.
Record the decision.
Try the sample standing, sitting and bending. Review the waistband, rise and pocket access in those positions, using the intended base size.
Check pocket openings and closures on the garment rather than judging only a flat drawing. Record the position, target dimension and requested change for every revision.

Can I change the number or position of cargo pockets?
Send front, back and side drawings showing each pocket and its intended function. Construction, placement and feasibility are reviewed for the fabric and fit before you approve the sample.
How do I brief a size range?
Provide the base sample size, measurement points and proposed size breakdown. Agree grading and tolerances explicitly rather than relying only on labels such as S, M and L.
How long do samples and bulk production take?
Typical sample development takes about one week, and bulk production takes 25–30 days. Confirm the start date, revisions and approval milestones for your project. Shipping transit time is quoted separately.
What are the minimum quantity and sample price?
These depend on the garment, fabric, decoration and quantities per style and colour. Send the size breakdown and destination for an itemised quote covering samples, production, labels, packing and delivery.
