DEFINE THE BRIEF
Start with the body and rib together.
Define body length, chest width, shoulder position and sleeve shape together. A boxy body with a narrow hem rib behaves differently from a straight body with a relaxed hem. Mark the base size, measurement points and intended fit on your drawing.
Choose the inside finish as part of the fabric brief. Loopback French terry and brushed fleece are different starting points; share the feel, composition, target weight and colour you want. Ask for the proposed swatch before treating a catalogue description as the final material.
YOUR GARMENT SPECIFICATION
Collar, cuffs & hem.
Show neckline width, rib depth, cuff opening and hem shape. Record whether the fit should sit at the waist or fall straight, then review those details on the sample.
Artwork at the right scale.
Send print or embroidery dimensions and distances from the neckline or seams. Include the label position and check the effect of decoration on the chosen fabric.
SAMPLE REVIEW
Check the details.
Record the decision.
Compare neckline shape and the way the collar lies when worn. Check shoulder placement, sleeve length and the relationship between body width and hem rib.
Measure the base sample against the brief and record each requested correction. Agree the care procedure and any before-and-after checks before approving the production reference.

Can I develop a boxy or oversized crewneck?
Yes. Send a reference garment or a measurement sheet defining width, length, shoulders and sleeves. Agree the base size and grading before the production specification is approved.
Can body fabric and rib be different?
Specify the body and rib separately, including colour and required stretch. The sample should establish how they work together; matching colour does not establish matching composition or weight.
How long do samples and bulk production take?
Typical sample development takes about one week, and bulk production takes 25–30 days. Confirm the start date, revisions and approval milestones for your project. Shipping transit time is quoted separately.
What are the minimum quantity and sample price?
These depend on the garment, fabric, decoration and quantities per style and colour. Send the size breakdown and destination for an itemised quote covering samples, production, labels, packing and delivery.
